Pune, 17 Jan (The Press Watch) – In today’s globally competitive environment, intellectual property has placed itself on a pedestal in the context of economic growth and is becoming important.
On the above backdrop, AISSMS College of Hotel Management and Catering Technology in association with Savitribai Phule Pune University had organised a 2 Day State Level Seminar on “Intellectual Property Rights- A Hospitality Perspective” on 9th and 10th January 2020.
The seminar provided a platform, where researchers, industry and academia can get together to discuss the emergence, issues and opportunities that the hospitality industry come to face with respect to Intellectual Property Rights.
Those who have a creative mind and ability in the hospitality industry should feel assured that not only their efforts have been duly recognized but it is secured in a specified manner.
The seminar had renowned speakers from the field of IP, namely, Dr. Nilima Bhadbhade (Former Associate Professor at ILS Law College, Pune) Mr. Vijay Tase (MD and CEO, Peer Technical services Pvt. Ltd, Mumbai) Dr. Bharati Dole (Ex Director at Hiraben Nanavati Inst. of Management, Pune) Mr. Ajay Kangralkar (Founder SkyRoots Ventures LLP) Mr. Balkrishna Thatte (Propertior of Agraj Foods, Pune) and Mr. Ashutosh Kane (Partner at W.S. Kane & Co. Mumbai)Hotel Management institutes from across the city and as well as the state had attended the seminar which aimed to understand the scope and implication of IPR in the hospitality industry.
